Theme Verse: "Choose this day whom you will serve." Joshua 24:15
|
Hear the music and smell the popcorn! Come enter SonWorld Adventure Park VBS, where kids will discover that choosing Jesus is the ticket to the best ride of their lives. Based on Joshua 24:15, VBS 2008 helps kids learn to make right choices in a world of options.
At this theme park, there's no height requirement, the lines are short, and everyone gets a good view of the parade. But hold onto your hats, because it's sure to be a life-changing ride!

Basic Information:
Our VBS program begins at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday evening with snacks provided for the children (meals will be provided Monday through Thursday). At 6:30 p.m. children then venture to music where they sing songs of praise. After music we divide into our classes (children attend the class of the grade they have completed by July 2008) where we travel as groups to our seperate classrooms, art, and recreation. At 8:20 p.m. everyone joins in the sanctuary for closing worship (parents are welcome to attend). Then we ask that as the children are dismissed parents and/or guardians meet their children inside the Sanctuary, at the Sanctuary steps or at the side lawn for safety reasons.
Also, we will once again be holding our annual Heifer project offering competition. As offering is taken every day, each class competes to raise the most money for our mission project. The class that has raised the most money by Thursday will receive a special ice cream party Thursday night. Last year the Kindergarten class blew us out of the water - let's see if they can do it again. Good luck to everyone!
Our closing program will be held Friday, August 1 at 7:00 p.m. on the side lawn with a SonWorld Carnival following. We ask that the children arrive no later than 6:45 p.m. so all preparations can be taken care of before the program begins. Snacks and fellowship will follow the program. All family and friends are welcome to attend the closing program. |

We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make our VBS a success! We can use help in a number of ways from publicizing the event, to helping out in the kitchen during supper, to donations of supplies, and much, much more.
If you are interested in helping out with this year's SonWorld Adventure Park VBS or have any questions about volunteering, please email Erica J. Bock (anti-spam protection) and be sure to include your name, number where you may be reached, and how you would like to help out or any questions you may have. We look forward to hearing from you! |

We would also like to say thank-you in advance to all of our wonderful helpers and also to all of our volunteers from past years. Without volunteers our VBS would be nothing. It takes willing, enthusiastic, and faith-centered individuals working together to create such a wonderful week and a lasting memorable experience for our children.
So, "THANK YOU!" for all of your hard work, enthusiasm and efforts, we truly appreciate you! |
